About the group
Grupo Sintáctico is a reading and discussion space devoted to theoretical syntax, at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), aimed especially at Letras students interested in formal grammar.
The group’s goal is to build a collective way of working: reading relevant scholarship, discussing syntactic analyses, examining empirical problems in Spanish, and getting familiar with the conceptual tools of contemporary grammatical theory.

How we work
Sessions combine short presentations, text discussion, and data analysis. Each meeting is organized around a topic or problem: null subjects, movement, clitics, argument structure, left periphery, agreement, case, among others.
